Bible Quizzing Tournament

February 15th, 2020

Who is invited:  Any church that has a Teen Bible Quiz Team consisting of at least two quizzers.  We do not allow All-Star teams, although we do allow combined teams that have quizzed together all season.  If you have any questions about your team status, please contact the director.

When and where:  Saturday, February 15, 2020, at First Church of the Nazarene, 411 13th Avenue in Sterling, Illinois, 61081.  There will be a coaches’ meeting at 7:45 a.m., with quizzing beginning promptly at 8:30 a.m. All quizzing should be finished by 6:00 p.m.

Chapters covered:  Hebrews and 1st Peter from the 2011 New International Version. 

Entry fee:  $35.00 per team, no refunds. The entry fee goes toward the expenses of the tournament.  Please make checks payable to Sterling First Church of the Nazarene and mail by February 8th, 2020 to the address above.

Deadline for Entries:  February 8th, 2020, or until all positions are filled.  We will be setting up a “Round Robin” tournament for up to 27 experienced teams and 18 novice teams.  Please register early to reserve your spot!  Mail your registration to the address listed below or register online here (BE CAREFUL as there are 2 divisions).  We prefer you register online.

Scholarship Awards:  Scholarships from Olivet Nazarene University will be awarded to the top 10 quizzers (from preliminary rounds only) and 2 teams (after the tournament) in the Experienced Division.  A Total of $8,400. 

Awards:  Awards will be given for the top individuals and teams in both divisions.
